Releef Initiative with Nectar

Because of the difficulty of adjusting dosages to young patients of various ages and size, traditional pills are often administered in incorrect doses in less developed areas, resulting in poor health outcomes. The Releef Initiative, an international non-profit, partnered with Nectar to create an easy-to-use dispenser of medicinal pellets to children in third world countries. This dispenser allows health workers to simply put in the correct amount of pellets and give them directly to the child.

Working on a pro bono basis, Nectar supplied all industrial design services for the Releef dispenser, including general research and human factor studies, configuration, refined mechanical layouts, and prototypes.
