“Tank, load me up!”
As an engineer, we work with hard to learn 3D design software that takes years to master but with emerging trend of animated movies and video games, it seems like the software developers are getting it!
Computer Aided Design or CAD as they call it should be simple and intuitive. I foresee that in the next decade, grade schoolers will have the ability to put their imagination onto the computer screen. No more trying to draw stick figures of mom and dad. It will be 3D parents with exact texture mapping of skin color, hair styles and wardrobe to name a few. Then take the whole digital family on a virtual trip to Disneyland or Lego-Land in a flash using Google Earth.
