Industrial Designer
Ability to realize a great idea into a great product. You’ve got the ability to develop a rapid understanding of a project, and through excellent research and problem solving abilities you can develop a solution that will optimize the user experience. Your developed solutions are a result of understanding the human factors of the problem and incorporating it into an appropriate and beautiful form. Your process is a combination of sketching, CAD, and physical modeling. You’ve got experience developing both consumer and medical products.
Model Maker
Make it so real, the client can instantly picture their product on the shelf. Your mastery of the model shop can turn any idea, sketch, or drawing into a physical model or prototype in no time. You cut quick foam models by hand and also have the ability to CNC appearance models or working prototypes as the development progresses. Your models are always mistaken by viewers as “the real thing”. You’re also a mechanical wizard and can develop and construct mechanisms that are integral to the product.
Engineer
A good candidate for the Nectar engineering team will have a strong desire to understand how things are made, how they work and how to make them better. You can instantly visualize how a product idea might be manufactured and assembled. You can take a and complex collection of ideas and requirements and quickly distill them to a simple set of options. You can take a sketch and turn it into CAD data. You have a working understanding of injection molding, sheet metal, casting, stamping, extruding and the tooling associated with each. You have experience in developing consumer, industrial and medical products. You have a degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering related field.
